Welcome. The articles you will find in this section are from an eclectic bunch of subject matter experts and managers from all over India.
Our objective at Solid Gyan is to help you find a smarter way to crack the CAT. We believe this requires you to think out of the box, rather than merely spend every waking minute on solving the toughest questions you can find in your course material. We want to educate you on how to succeed at the CAT by instilling in you techniques required by successful managers. This requires a little less mugging, and a little more thinking. While we can't guarantee that all of you are going to be in IIM this time next year, we are certain that imbibing the principles and concepts we espouse, will make you better thinkers, better problem solvers and better equipped to meet life's varied challenges.
The articles in this section also play along the same theme, they range from a series on mental agility exercises from Think Without Ink author K. Venkatraman (alias VenCAT), to career advice from Vinish Kathuria. Pramod Joshi tells us in highly readable fashion his top 10 list of what makes a successful CAT test taker. Arvind Kumar will present a series of articles on problem solving. Dinesh, gives us tips and tricks for each of the CAT exam section. (To read biographies of our subject matter experts, please see the Company section).
We hope you enjoy the articles as much as we enjoyed writing them. Your feedback is welcome, please use our discussion forums as your sounding board for your comments.
